Weird Things I Think About

The concept of language:

Where it started, how we all began to slowly communicate with different languages, and how we can name everything, but nothing fully matches in different languages.

That there are people literally dying of dehydration, and I poop into gallons of water.

How I could have very easily not have been born, but whoever took my place would have my same family, same name, same pets, and basically the same life.

Pronunciation of the word colonel. It’s so terrible.

You’ve known your parents your entire life but they’ve only known you for part of theirs… Until they die, and then you start only knowing them for part of yours too.

Existence. I think it’s more weird that stuff exists than the concept of nothing existing.

Being stuck in my meat suit, and everyone else is “someone else.”

T-Rexs having sex

Child birth. Just like, what the fuck man.  Being pregnant is being a 3D printer for a human.

Every year we pass the anniversary of our death without knowing.

Your brain. Thinking about itself.

That fact that it’s “Your brain” not just “Me”

“I was thinking….”

“My brain was thinking…”

My brain? who am I, but my brain? My brain classifies itself apart from who I am.

Sleep. The fact that you basically go into a coma for eight hours every night.

Trying to think of a color that doesn’t exist. It tears me apart after a minute or two… Neon brown? Now, I have a luminous turd imprinted in my brain now.

Since celebrities are actual people too, the more I think about it the stranger it gets picturing them in everyday situations that aren’t so glamorous, I find it weird knowing that your favorite celebrity could be having diarrhea at this very moment.

The amount of ancestors I have, and with no kids, that line stops with me. So many things must have happened in the past for me to exist, it’s weird to think about…

That people keep fish as pets. You can’t really play with them or take them anywhere… Fish are less pets and more living ornaments.

Reading ancient literature or any books of the past. Think about it, you are reading the words and thoughts of a famous person of the past in the present.

Think about all those who died in the 1970-80s and what they missed out on as humanity approached the turn of the century and technology essentially took over. I wonder what we’ll miss out on.

Kissing. It’s a great thing but when you stop and think about it, it’s one of the weirdest things that we are completely fine with. Like, however the hell many years ago, did a couple of people just decided that locking lips was a great show of affection?

A net is a bunch of holes woven together.

This quote by Arthur C. Clarke

“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”

That there is an uninterrupted tube going from your mouth to your anus.

Since your body doesn’t completely close it off, really humans are just like giant donuts with arms and legs.

Food never really goes in you, it just touches the walls of your inner-donut until you absorb the nutrients
